Research Areas: Coronary Bypass Surgery, Minimally invasive and Endovascular interventions. Aortic and Carotid surgery operations. Application of repair methods with current approaches in heart valve diseases, especially degenerative mitral valve pathologies. Acquisition and practical application of new techniques in open heart surgery (such as special suture techniques for Hemostasis control in Aortic Surgery, special techniques used in Mitral Valve repairs). Use of ECMO in Mechanical Heart Support Systems and clinical experiences.
Selected Studies: He has 45 research articles consisting of original articles, case reports and technical papers in international SCI/E journals before and after associate professorship. He has 26 research articles consisting of original articles, case reports and technical papers published in national journals in the UAK and TR index. His main works are; Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation in Adults (Heart Lung and Circulation. January 2014). A comparison of three tricuspid annuloplasty techniques: Suture, ring, and band (Turkish Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery 2019). Papillary muscle repositioning as a subvalvular apparatus preservation technique in mitral stenosis patients with normal left ventricular systolic function (Tex Heart Inst J. 2014. Relationship of admission neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio with in-hospital mortality in patients with acute type-I aortic dissection (Turkish Journal of Medical Sciences, 2013).Efficacy of iloprost and montelukast combination on spinal cord ischemia/reperfusion injury in a rat model, (J Cardiothorac Surg. 2013) There are also many oral and poster presentations presented in international and national congresses.
